Moe-Joe made her annual spring visit in March, and after a long flight and some jet lag... a margarita, delicious Mexican food, and some playtime with Jack was just what she needed upon her arrival.
By the second day, who would've thought that it would be Jack that was the one who needed oxygen and a doctor's visit after 24 hours playing with Moe-Joe!?! Actually, the little guy just wasn't feeling all that well... so what we thought was an innocuous walk-in visit with his pediatrician, actually turned out to be one frightening and intense couple of days!
It all happened so fast... and before we knew it, Jack was being loaded up into an ambulance! With Jack's oxygen levels so low, the Doc didn't want to take a chance... so off to the hospital he went!
After checking in and getting a room at the hospital,
Jack got hooked up and we all settled in for a long night.
"Seriously guys???
What am I, some kind of contagious zoo animal?!?"
That first night was definitely the worst... between Jack feeling bad and not being able to sleep, to me having to sleep in the back of the truck once Jei took over.
Tired, dirty and feeling a bit dispirited...
Jack wasn't feeling all that great either!
But at least he had his appetite.
Meanwhile, back at home... Allen & Moe-Joe
were all alone and completely miserable without us!
Oh how miserable - a little playtime before a nice big breakfast while watching cartoons in the morning...
And then off to the park they went
for some playtime outside in the afternoon.
Moe-Joe treated for lunch at Chick-Fil-A...
And then they made a special trip to the library
for some fun reading & learning.
The next morning Jack was feeling better...
But unfortunately not enough to let us go home.
So we made the best of our time at the hospital,
and found Jack a wagon for him to ride on...
...As well as his own little car to roam the hallways in.
When he's not caged up in his little crib and cooped up in that small little room, he sure is a happy little fella!
Once Jack got the go ahead to roam the halls...
he was off to explore and play.
But of course all that exploring & playing
caught up with him rather quickly!
Not so sure we could've handled a third night... which was a good thing because Jack finally got released to go home which made us all very happy! His official diagnosis was Bronchiolitis... but whatever it was, it definitely gave us all quite the scare!
Not sure who was more excited to have Jack back... Moe-Joe or his big Brother?!?! Either way, they both had fun with him when we went to the park the following day.
Moe-Joe & her two sweet healthy boys!
Whether it was with the iPad or reading a book at bedtime,
Moe-Joe was more than happy to entertain her boys.
And speaking of entertainment...
bath time always provides the best smiles & giggles!
We were fortunate to have some nice warm weather... which made playing out in the front yard in the kiddy-pool that much more fun.
A week after Moe-Joe arrived, Dad-Oh finally showed up to join in all the fun... and immediately bonded with Allen and showed him exactly how Georgia Tech beat Georgia last season.
With such nice weather, a trip to the park was a must!
After watching Dad-Oh & I go at it,
Allen got his chance to show off his skills.
Allen had fun and is definitely learning,
but there was way more misses than hits.

While the big boys played in the sun...
Jei & Moe-Joe entertained Jack in the shade.
That night it was bath time with Moe-Joe & Dad-Oh...
which of course meant a ton of silliness.
A rite of passage here at the Etheridge household...
learning how to ride a bike. And now it's Jack's turn!
A fun ride right into Moe-Joe's arms.
Allen & Dad-Oh eagerly wait for Jack's return ride.
With Dad-Oh & Moe-Joe pushing and catching...
All that was left to do was smile from ear to ear!
We made a special trip up to L.A. one evening to visit with the Girls, have dinner, and celebrate all of the March birthdays (Dad-Oh, Nani, Helen, and Sochi) together.
Between the ambiance, the meal, and of course the wonderful company... there was no way we could've had a better time!
Moe-Joe & her iPad...
a great way to wind down before bedtime.
With Easter just around the corner, we couldn't help but spend time out in the backyard drawing and getting into the Easter spirit.
With their time in SoCal winding down,
Moe-Joe & Dad-Oh spend as much time with the boys as possible.

Which most certainly included good times
jumping and being silly on the trampoline!
Another fun & memorable visit...
Thank you Moe-Joe & Dad-Oh,
can't wait to see you again soon!!!
