Random Cuteness (part 15)

It certainly has been a while... but that just means we have lots of  random cuteness for you to enjoy from the past couple of months!

The flight back home from Florida...

exactly what two parents want out of their 15-month-old child!

Blueberries... Allen's favorite breakfast snack!

Momma takes Allen to the park and forgets that it's winter!

Somebody was cold that morning... but it wasn't Allen. 

Allen just loves Skype'ing with his family!

Just about as much as he loves bath time.

The kid cleans up well if I don't say so myself!

Nothing beats an afternoon nap with Mommy!

Not a happy camper when Mommy leaves him to go upstairs!

Such a Momma's Boy!!!

And now for my next trick...

Allen has now learned to climb on top of the chairs, and has unfortunately learned the hard way (bonk!) why that is dangerous and will not be tolerated!

A visit to Great Grandma's house brought lots of reading time.

And a trip to Solvang, CA with the girls brought lots of smiles!

And on the way home from visiting the girls in L.A.,

Momma picked Allen up some brand new kicks!

On a cold winter's morning...

who doesn't love a little snuggle time on the couch?!

Allen loves helping Mommy sort through all the mail.

"Oh look Ma... a coupon! Now you can buy me my other sock!"

"Where's Allen???"

"There he is!!!" 

Just a little silliness before dinner out at the Olive Garden.

Allen & Ming love napping together on our bed.

Allen enjoying a nice lunch out with friends.

"Whoa! Look at that cutie over there.

With any luck we'll run into each other in the milk aisle!"

He definitely was all smiles before the big game... but not so much when he found out his Dirty Birds weren't going to the Super Bowl!

"I don't know Mom...
I really like the black and white ones to be honest!"

Skype'ing with the kids in Mexico always brings lots of smiles!

Of course when Wela's in town,

Allen loves to show off and eat everything on his tray!

Allen loves playing in his fort...

and taking toys in, and then taking them out!

I love watching Allen eat.

Especially when there's peas on the menu... 

literally, one by one, until they're all gone.

It certainly isn't the same when we're in Florida...

but family bike ride time is fun nonetheless.  

During a special weekend visit from Wela,

Allen decided to show off his newly learned walking skills.

Needless to say, Wela was ecstatic!!!

Allen Jess was so proud to show off in front of his Wela!

It wasn't quite Valentine's Day... but Moe-Joe's V-Day package came early, which meant Allen got spoiled with lots of fun gifts, candies, and books!

After a long day of running around chasing Ming,

the two take time to reenergize for the evening. 

How much television is too much television... 

that is the question.

"Dad... move! Chuggington is on!

"Am I gonna have to push this thing myself or what???"

Generation Z

If you've ever tried to Skype with us... you'll most certainly know just how much Allen loves computers and especially their keyboards! So when he's up in our room, he's always seen the Holy Grail of keyboards sitting there on my makeshift desk... but never could get to it on his own. That is until recently, when his climbing skills have greatly improved... probably because he's now walking on his own. Allen's favorite thing to do now is to climb up on my chair where he has access to my mouse and keyboard and go to town. 

He loves that big screen and loves to hear that loud

clickety-clack when he plays on my keyboard.

Sometimes he scares us because it seems as though he actually knows what he's doing at times, but either way, he's pretty funny to watch when he's "at work!" It may not be a bad thing getting him started so early on figuring out & playing on computers... being the next Bill Gates certainly wouldn't be a bad thing. Between our computers, Moe-Joe's iPad, and my iPhone... I find it amazing what this kid is being introduced to at such an early age! (The video is much funnier when you put in your own voice-over to what Allen may be thinking or saying! I would've put one in myself but didn't know how to do it.)

Meltdown

Only about two months had passed since Allen's first haircut, but that was apparently plenty of time for another bird's nest to suddenly appear!

 It was getting long again in the back and a little out of control up top...

so we decided another haircut was in order.

"What d'ya mean I look like a bum...

I think I look cute & sophisticated!"  

So we put him in his yellow cab again, put on his favorite -
'Nemo'...and crossed our fingers!

And after a few promising snips with the scissors,

our worst fear quickly materialized...

...as a full on meltdown ensued!

Not exactly how we thought or hoped his second haircut would go, but God bless the hairdresser, as she pushed through the tantrum and did her best to make our little boy look so incredibly cute, despite all the tears! Nemo is good... but apparently not that good.
