Holiday "Stay-Cation"

Jei, Momma Soch and I didn't have much planned for Memorial Day... so we decided to head up to L.A. and visit with the girls!  For future services rendered (hang curtains & hook up TV), Helen was kind enough to treat the three of us to an absolute fabulous lunch!  She took us down to Beverly Hills where we had a little taste of Brazil at Fogo de Chao.  It's pretty much an all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse Gaucho style... where everyone is given a circular card, and if you want the servers to keep slicing off little pieces of heaven onto your plate throughout your meal, you flip your card to the green side... and if you're about to throw-up Filet Mignon all over yourself because you ate too much and want the servers to stop, you flip it over to the red side!  It was quite the experience and highly recommend stopping by if you ever get the chance!   

After a magnificent lunch (thanks Helen!), we had some time to kill before our afternoon matinee at the California Science Center in downtown L.A.... so we decided to push our way through the line of five-year-old's and explored all the wonder the Science Center had to offer!         

Definitely one of the highlights was the really cool kelp bed aquarium! 

After visiting the ocean... 

we hitched a ride on a camel and suddenly found ourselves in Egypt!!!

Our camel ended up buckin' Jei clean off... 

so I had to take control and rode that thing for 8 seconds straight!

Sochi got lost... but then to everyone's amazement, 

she found herself at the footsteps of the Great Pyramid of Giza!

(Yes, I know... we're huge dorks, but at least we're fun dorks!)

We finally got back from "Egypt" when we thought, "You know... we had a little taste of Brazil, the Ocean, and Egypt today... why not end the day with a little Outer-Space too?!?!"  So we walked over to the IMAX theater and saw HUBBLE 3D... which was freaking amazing!!!

Definitely not a super exciting weekend... but certainly nothing wrong with the occasional "stay-cation" every now and then.  Besides, I think we made the best of it and had a really good time with family!

Random Cuteness (part 2)

I hope you're not tired of looking at Key-Dens just yet!?!?  Still have a bunch of super cute pics!  Hey, gotta get'em while they're still young and in that cute-phase!  Life is good here... Sochi just spent another week here at the house and made us her famous Enchiladas!  WOW!  ...absolutely delicious!!!   Ming & Bing are adorable as ever and are so much fun to be around... except for when we're eating (they prefer OUR food instead of theirs!) and when we're sleeping (they're fine until 2 a.m. rolls around and they wake up all rambunctious and want to play/fight with each other on our bed!).   Looking forward to spending the rest of our Memorial Day weekend up in L.A. visiting with the girls!  May you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend... and remember those who gave their lives for the freedoms you have today!  And now...

Random Cuteness (part 1)

Obnoxious Tree

As if moving into a huge new home with tons of space to run & play in... a brother/sister there to keep you company and help chase your tail around for you... along with two incredibly loving parents/owners taking care of you and treating you like royalty WASN'T ENOUGH... 

a super obnoxious Cat Tree was a must have!  I guess you could say I got a little carried away and totally put myself in their... paws? ...and knew I would absolutely LOVE something like that if I was a Key-Den, so naturally I figured they would love it too!   

Unfortunately, I got really annoyed & disappointed at first when the two little brats wanted to climb all over me, Jeilene, and all of our furniture... rather than the nice new jungle gym I had just bought them!  But little by little the curiosity gave in and they eventually learned to climb, scratch, play, wrestle, jump, fall, and nap all over it!   

We've just gotten the biggest kick watching them run around and play on that thing! 

Sure, it's huge, ugly and obnoxious (and expensive!)... but Ming & Bing love playing in it!  Spoiled rotten Key-Dens I tell ya!

Lovin' on Grandma

With both Jei & I at work during the day... Momma Soch was the only lucky one left at home to play with Ming & Bing and keep them company!  Although if you ask her she'd probably tell you she was unlucky, for I don't think they left poor Grandma alone the entire week! 

 

But whether she liked it or not... I think all three of them made a special little bond that week!

Ming certainly wasn't the only curious Key-Den in the house!

Bing just loved styling Grandma's hair!

It was nice to have and comforting to know someone was there supervising all the craziness at the house while Jei & I were at work.  I'm sure it was a little annoying at times... especially if you aren't exactly a fanatic Key-Den lover like we are, but don't let her fool you...
