It's Beginning...

...To Look A Lot Like Christmas!!!

After days and weeks of being hounded by the Christmas Spirit herself... about when we're going Christmas tree shopping and when are we going to decorate the house for the Holidays, I finally set out a weekend for us to do exactly that!

Okay, so we didn't exactly go out to the local Southern California National Forest and cut down our very own Noble Fir Christmas tree like our counterparts in Colorado... but nevertheless, we did still have to do some hunting for the perfect tree! Albeit at our local hardware store, our search successfully ended when the three of us unanimously decided on which tree was going to be Allen Jess's very first!

After lugging it home and a short argument about where exactly it was going, the tree was brought in and erected. And after getting final approval from Ming... the netting was cut off and our beautiful Christmas tree emerged!

And once again, after a short one-sided argument about what color lights should go on the tree... the decorating process swung into full gear, as I was in charge of putting on all the lights!

All the decorations were brought out... to include Shmoo's old Santa hat, so as Ming & Bing's curiosity ran wild wondering what on Earth was going on, Allen Jess had a front row seat to watch Mom try and "decorate" Ming ...which didn't last very long at all!

Okay, so the lights are kind of a pain in the rear... but hanging out together listening to Christmas music and hanging all our ornaments on the tree is definitely lots of fun, my favorite part, and totally worth all the trouble!

Because in the end... you're left with this!!! And if that doesn't bring a smile to your face, then there's something seriously wrong with you!

And then the fun really begins as all the gifts get their wrapping! Jei of course takes care of that department... as Ming makes sure she doesn't leave any bare spots, while Allen lays there completely amazed by all the pretty lights on the Christmas tree.

A fully decorated Christmas tree? Check!
Wrapped Christmas Presents underneath that tree? Check!
Only one thing left to do then...
Decorate the house to get into that Holiday Spirit!

The decorations are finally up, the Holiday music is playing, the smell of Christmas consumes the house, and the Christmas Spirit is abundant and almost overwhelming! Sounds great, but believe it or not, we're still missing one thing... a bunch of family to come and visit! Somehow I don't think that's going to be a problem.
