One can only throw and kick the football, dance and cheer, and hangout in 50 degree weather for so long... so we all gathered back inside as the afternoon got later and the big feast crept closer!
In the meantime, Allen Jess seemed to be the center of attention, which I don't think he minded all that much, especially when he was being held by his Moe-Joe and loved on by his Cousin Sammy!

It wasn't all about Allen Jess... Dad-Oh & Sammy got to spend some quality time together too. "Okay Sammy... let's go over this one more time. This man's name is Obama, and he is an idiot! This man over here is a Republican, and he is very smart! Got it?"
Moe-Joe certainly had her hands full... going through the Toys 'R' Us catalog for the 23rd time with Allen & Sammy making sure there wasn't anything else that they wanted Santa to bring them for Christmas!
And then after a full afternoon of fun activities, it was finally time to eat! The table was set and had everything we could ask for: turkey, beer, wine, and a dog ready to pick up any "accidental" droppings from the table!
Once again, Mandi did an amazing job in the kitchen and managed to provide us all with a wonderfully delicious Thanksgiving meal! Truly a miracle worker!!!
But don't take my word for it... these two happy little boys are proof that it was quite the successful and yummy meal!
It was definitely hard not to over-eat with all that good abundant food... so out of fear that none of us could actually get up, we instead just hung out at the table for a while laughing, joking, and listening to some silly music. Speaking of which, we heard one song called "Momma Tooted", which just so happened to be Hamp & Sam's favorite song! Gee, I can't imagine why?
Boy, that tryptophan sure does kick in fast!
Meanwhile, it had no effect on others...
as they preferred to tackle the apple pie for dessert!
After stuffing our faces with a whole bunch of deliciousness, it was all about having fun and making each other laugh!
But then of course Uncle Alec got boring... so away they went to play with their mobile electronic devices.
We capped off a fantastic day later that evening when we all gathered in the living room for a little family-fun game night!
After all the fun and silliness had ended, it was quite apparent (from the little ones anyway) that it was just about time to close up shop and call it a night... although I'm pretty sure Moe-Joe could've stayed there in that chair holding those two sweet boys all night if we had let her!
As we went around the table that evening we all had our fair share of things to be thankful for... Lord knows our family as a whole has been truly blessed, but I think the one thing at the top of everyone's list definitely had to be the fact that we were all there enjoying Thanksgiving day together... as one big (and growing) happy family! And if that's not worth giving thanks to, than I don't know what is! Happy Thanksgiving!!!
