With just about everyone at school the following morning, the house seemed rather quiet. We had breakfast with Mandi & Gabe and then found out the best news of the day... we had been invited to Sammy's school for some of their Thanksgiving activities! Naturally we were super excited, but that of course meant Allen Jess had to brave the cold for the short stroll down the street to the elementary school.
We took a seat in the gymnasium and once Allen saw all the big kids playing and having fun... he was no longer sleepy and wanted to know & see what all the comotion was about.
We spotted Sammy in the sea of kids as he was diligently and of course super focused on his Thanksgiving sticker placement project... so much so that I'm pretty sure he completely ignored me & my presence!
We really felt bad telling Allen Jess that he couldn't play with the other kids and have fun with stickers too... but we just reassured him that it was for his own good!
But of course Mandi felt bad so she grabbed him out of his car seat and the two of them had a little play time together.
Sammy joined in on the fun after a while and made sure to give his Cousin lots of hugs & kisses.
Before we knew it it was snack time already! It was definitely a good thing though, as Sammy needed all the energy he could muster for what was about to happen next...
The teachers lined all the kids up in preparation for something big!
I think the kids were just as surprised as we were...
...when they found out they were about to do the 'Turkey Tango'!!!
After all the festivities were over, Sammy and Allen Jess spent some time bonding with one another.
And then out of nowhere, Baby Miles showed up who was born ten days earlier than Allen was, and the two boys hung-out together for a while and wound up arguing which one had the easier life!

Baby cuteness overwhelmed us for the better part of an hour... but hunger ended up prevailing, so we all headed back home for some lunch. It was perfect timing since it was Jason's lunch hour, so he got to come home with us too.
We certainly weren't the only ones who stuffed our faces during lunch that afternoon! Allen Jess downed an entire bottle... and then immediately fell into a milk coma.
I then gently picked him up and put his jacket back on, and then quietly made my way to the couch for a little Father - Son nap time.
Of course Minou made sure I didn't nap too long as she ever so politely reminded me that pettings come first!
Ahhh... the pleasure of owning a dog. I don't know why... but watching my older Sister scoop up a bag full of dog poo was extremely entertaining! Gabe: "Hey, you missed a nasty one I laid over there. Don't forget about that one!"
It was time for me to pay attention and play with some other cute little boys in the house, so Allen got dumped to the bed.
That evening it was pizza for dinner...
...but for some, particularly those who had a rough board meeting, needed a little extra kick with their pizza!
Following a delicious pizza meal, a friendly game of Apples to Apples ensued which apparently motivated Sammy to dress in his favorite shirt and hat!
Needless to say, once the cards started being handed out, Allen Jess was game!
Having these two clowns as opponents can be pretty intimidating!
What would family game night be without some delicious dessert!? So a big batch of amazing chocolate chip cookies were made and everyone rejoiced!
With a team like Sammy, Allen Jess and Jei... I'm surprised the rest of us even played at all! They definitely brought their 'A' game that night!
After a fun-filled evening full of pizza, games and cookies... bedtime was rapidly approaching, as evidenced by Allen's super crankiness! Goodnight kisses went around the room and then it was time to hit the sack, for tomorrow was going to be an early, long, but extremely fun day!
As if getting the boys to bed wasn't a chore before... nowadays, a big goofy playful dog has 'hit the sack' too, which inevitably delays bedtime... but most of the time it's just too cute and fun to do anything but join in!

So thrilled to get a detailed account of what you guys were doing before Dado/I got there! However, I must admit, it looks like you were having FUN to me;-O Just saying!
